Tonality GmbH now offers the new facade design option “Montano”. The surface of the terracotta facade tiles is designed with bars that vary in width. It is because of this irregular pattern that a unique, dynamic look is created. The elements also score with the known product advantages of facade terracottas: They are very strong and durable.
Modern, rustic, structured or colourful: when it comes to facade design, there are hardly any limits to architectural creativity. In this context, the choice of material is crucial for the first impression. Facade tiles in particular can be used to set special accents. Tonality GmbH from Weroth (Rhineland-Palatinate) offers various terracotta solutions for a high-quality, appealing look. The company´s product portfolio has now been expanded to include a facade tile with a new surface. “Montano” has differently designed bars, which are arranged in an alternating pattern. The elevations create a relief that is emphasized by light and shadow: the result is a distinct building envelope that stands out for its dynamic appearance. The facade elements are available in different colours.
Robust facade tile with sound-reducing effect
The “Montano” surface does not only create a unique appearance but also protects the building from external influences. The fired facade tiles made of clay are extremely strong and durable. After all, the elements are frost-resistant and UV-resistant as well as resistant to scratches. They are also unaffected by chemical influences. This makes them permanently resistant to de-icing salt and other aggressive substances. The three-dimensional surface also helps to reduce noise in urban areas. The irregular elevations do not reflect, but refract the sound and thus reduce it. Installing the facade tiles is also quick and simple. This way the individual elements can be easily fitted into the pre-installed fixing system. Because the fastening is not visible, an attractive, continuous building envelope is created.
