A stylish investment
The clean, elegant design is what distinguishes the new Sparkasse “Competence Centre” in Duisburg´s Hamborn district. Its sandstone-coloured terracotta facade echoes the design of the surrounding buildings and thus seamlessly integrates the new three-storey building into Hamborn’s town centre, which is under heritage protection. Its gable roof is also clad with terracotta elements and stands out confidently from its surroundings. Generous glass fronts and horizontal window bands lend lightness to the bank building with a linear design. The window axes – as well as the striking entrance risalit – provide a deliberate contrast to the light facade design. Rectangular terracotta elements in anthracite accentuate the facade openings.
