TerraSlats for a new Library
With the new Southington Public Library in Connecticut, DRA Architects have created a versatile space for education, social interaction, and cultural exchange.
A defining feature is the approximately 1,000 m² brick-red façade made of TerraSlats by TONALITY®. The cladding combines the familiar look of traditional brick with the structural and functional qualities of a modern, ventilated building envelope. Its brick-red color scheme echoes the surrounding architecture and gives the new building a striking urban presence.
A key advantage of the TerraSlats by TONALITY® is their availability from stock in the standard size of 1,250 × 150 × 22 mm. This means they are readily available on both the East and West Coasts of the U.S. – even in small quantities.
The facade work was carried out by Ultimate Construction LLC. On-site collaboration was conducted in partnership with the sales partner AFC Cladding.
