Office and Administrative Building
Rebuilding with a New Identity
Following severe damage caused by the 2021 flood disaster, the office and administrative building in Eschweiler underwent extensive repairs. As part of the project, Praglowski Architects redesigned the spatial structure and upgraded the building both technically and in terms of energy efficiency. A defining element of the redesigned building envelope is the TONALITY® terracotta façade. The TONALITY® surface G1-1 was used in two different formats across a total area of 1,080 m². The terracotta elements were installed using the BAS substructure. Both formats were manufactured in the uniform, brick-red-like custom color P202A. The varied interplay of formats and the warm color palette lend the facade a distinctive, lively appearance and give the administrative complex a striking architectural identity.
