Between Matte and Gloss
DOKI Living in Gdańsk is a contemporary residential building that combines urban density with a clearly structured building envelope. The design by FORT Targowski features a calm façade layout and precisely crafted details—serving as the foundation for a consistently harmonious appearance that does justice to the materials. The building envelope was clad with the TONALITY® G1-1 surface in various formats and three color variations. Glossy light red, matte brick red, and satin brick red subtly differentiate the volume while simultaneously unifying it into a cohesive whole. The interplay of red tones and gloss levels creates a nuanced sense of depth that changes with daylight and viewing angles.
The on-site installation was carried out in collaboration with Eljako-Al.
